LeBron James, once again, is going to be a free agent, but where is he going to play next season? This could easily shake up the NBA yet again. A lot of people aren’t sure if he is going to pick Cleveland. LeBron is from Ohio, and this is where Cleveland is located. Even though he has left Cleveland before, he did come back, and he gave them their first title in well over 50 years. Depending on how the postseason goes, he could well decide to go there.
Could he be a Good Fit for the Warriors?
So why would LeBron choose the Warriors? Well, to start with, you have Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. It would not be surprising to see him want to play with these all-star players.
That being said, he would be then seen as a villain in the NBA, helping a successful team to become even more so. If James did go to the team, then this would break up the core of the NBA a little.
The team would have to send the Cavaliers a package for Klay Thompson or even Draymond Green. They would then have to work with key player Andre Iguodala, for the MVP. A lot of work would have to be done here, but at the end of the day, it could be worth it. Duran would have to take a huge pay cut, too, and this is something he has done this season already.
LeBron to Rockets – The Betting odds Look Favorable
The only thing you have to do is check the latest betting sites if you want to see how great the Rockets are. So why would Lebron choose them? Well, to start with, he would be reunited with Chris Paul, and he could well bring Dwayne Wade with him if he was willing to take a deal for the minimum salary. James Harden, CP3, and James would then make an unstoppable trio, and it’s safe to say that they would be a formidable force in the NBA.
The team would have even more power against Golden State, and on top of this, Texas does not have any income tax. This means that if Lebron did take a max salary, he would come out with even more money. James has made it clear that if he could opt in for the final year of his deal, he would be willing to do so, and this could open up a lot of options for teams.
The Clippers have a Fighting Chance
Lebron could even decide to throw a curveball and go to the Clippers. Jerry West, who is the front-office manager, has said that he has developed a connection with the player over the years, and this has helped him to come to a level of understanding. James even affectionately calls West the Godfather. If the Clippers were able to show themselves as being a good alternative, then this could help them out a lot in the future.
They could also get Lou Williams as an extension and then become a formidable team. The only way they could make it would be if they declined the player options for Wes Johnson, Austin Rivers, and DeAndre Jordan. They would have to walk, and only then could the Clippers have enough cap space to sign him outright. That being said, it is still a bit of a risk for the team.
Lakers
Why would LeBron choose the Lakers? It’s truly very simple. The rumors of him venturing to the Lakers have been around for quite some time. They have been swirling ever since he entered the league. One thing to take note of is that the player has a second home in Los Angeles and that he has been working to build his own Hollywood production company. He has been talking about Lonzo Ball quite highly, even if he doesn’t like his father.
On top of this, the Lakers are one of the few teams that could promise that he isn’t going to be the only superstar. They have been talking about making a move for him, but at the end of the day, they would have to let go of some players to make this happen. Only time will tell if this is going to be the case or if he is ever going to move to the team. That being said, there are some bright times ahead, and it would seem that things are only ever going to get better from here.
