Serena Williams, the most famous student from Compton College, has been an inspiration to many. Even custom dissertation services follow her example to make more students as outstanding as her. After the bullying, Serena transferred schools and attended John McArthur High School in Hollywood California.

In her senior year, she was ranked number one in the country before going to play for Stanford University where she would go on to win two NCAA singles championships and four doubles titles with her sister Venus Williams.

Williams has won 23 grand slam singles titles, more than any other player in history. Her first major title was obtained at the 1999 US Open when she was just 17 years old and ranked world number 77. This cemented her position as a tennis star of the future.

Williams also won two grand slam titles in 2002; becoming one of only three players consecutively winning both Australian and French open titles in the same year (Martina Hingis and Justine Henin).

Serena would go on to win four consecutive Wimbledon titles from 2003-2007 and three consecutive U.S open titles from 2002-2004 before experiencing a lull in her career; partly due to injuries.

In 2009 Williams returned to former glory with an Australian Open.

She is also one of only four women to have ever held all four major titles at once

Williams is also one of only four women to have ever held all four major singles titles at once; something she was able to do for the first time during January 2017 when she was ranked number one in the world. Apart from her Grand Slam victories, Serena has won nine Wimbledon Singles Championships, seven French Open Singles Championships and five U.S Open Singles Championships.

She also holds three Olympic gold medals; having won the singles event every time apart from the 2000 Sydney Games and won a gold and silver medal in doubles with sister Venus Williams in Beijing 2008.

Williams stands as the wealthiest female athlete of all time, with an estimated net worth of $150 million. She has also been ranked as the 25th most successful athlete ever by ESPN and is considered one of the world’s most famous women.

Williams has been awarded over $8 million in prize money and her sponsors include Nike, Wilson and Beats by Dre.
