When it comes to big earners in world sport, it’s no surprise that the leading lights are the big names plying their respective trades in the US big leagues, and as far as the NBA is concerned, the current star with the biggest deal on paper is Golden State Warriors legend Steph Curry.

In the case of the 37-year-old, four-time NBA champion, it’s a salary well-earned. We are talking about one of the top players of all time, with a list of awards and accolades that more than justify the outlay he earns from the Chase Center franchise.

Golden State Warriors fans who feel that Curry has it in him to play a key role in a fifth NBA title charge in 2024/25 may want to back their star performer with a bet. To help make such a wager all the more enticing, why not make use of this Caesars sportsbook promo code? In doing so, you’ll make any potential payout even sweeter.

Curry is set to earn a mouthwatering $155.8 million from his combined on and off-court duties, making him the head honcho, narrowly ahead of fellow veteran LeBron James. It is his 16th season at the Golden State Warriors, having been drafted by the San Francisco-based outfit way back in 2009.

Last season was something of a bust for Curry and head coach Steve Kerr. Their 46-36 record meant a trip to the play-in tournament, which saw them bow out to the Sacramento Kings.

That meant it was the first time in three seasons that they failed to make the playoffs, and Kerr will be keen to avoid a repeat in 2024/25. They are currently 47-33 and sit on the cusp of having to go through the play-in tournament once again.

The Pacific Division is particularly tight right now, with the Warriors sitting in third place, a game behind the Los Angeles Clippers and just two behind leaders the Los Angeles Lakers, making their remaining regular season games all the more important.

While Curry has not been at his best throughout the season, he still averages a healthy 24.5 points per game and is going to be key to what Steve Kerr’s team will hope to achieve in what’s left of the 2024/25 season.

He has had to sit out some of the season, with Kerr electing to give his star performer a much-needed rest, commenting at the time,

“He’s tired,”

“Steph’s been carrying us for a month. He’s been amazing. He’s tired, so we got to get him some rest. Just you can see it. He doesn’t have his energy right now.”

Following that break, Curry has been back near his best. In April, he top-scored in five of the Warrior’s first six games, helping the team to four big wins. The run of good form is something that Curry has grown to expect from Golden State, the 11-time NBA All-Star commenting,

“We thrive off of that”

“That’s why we’ve been so successful for this many years. Because as the stakes rise, the lights get brighter, we tend to level up.” Curry added.
