Michael Jordan is one of the most popular athletes of all time. But what most people don’t know is that he was also one of the greatest, if not the greatest, scorers ever in his era. He scored in many different ways-leaving it off the backboard, reverse layups, spinning jumpers and more. So how many scoring titles did Michael Jordan have?

Jordan as Record Holder of most Scoring Titles

Michael Jordan is now the holder of the record for the most scoring titles in NBA history.

Jordan enjoyed the game of basketball and played it at Columbia University. He also played baseball. It was not until 1979 that he transferred to North Carolina University where he made himself into the greatest scorer of all time.

He scored with different types of shots, but his favorite was the reverse dunk because he felt it made him look more like a superstar. His most memorable shot was when he affected the “double clutch”. This is when he would hit two shots in a row-the first being an air ball, but coming back for a second chance at the basket by putting up another ball off the backboard attached to his hands.

His Best Play

Michael Jordan wins the scoring title! On April 1, 1989, playing against Utah in an away game with 76 seconds left in the fourth quarter with his Bulls down by 2 points, Michael Jordan was fouled. Jordan hit two free throws to tie the score at 83. Less than 3 minutes later he hit a clutch three pointer to lead the Bulls to a 90-88 victory. Jordan finishes the game with a total of 48 points on a whopping 27 shots.

The next year marks what would be over 8 years of consecutive winning of Scoring Titles, most in NBA history.

Who Is The NBA All Time Points Leader?

The current NBA all time points leader is Kobe Bryant. He has 33,643 points in his career and he is still playing. He was an 18 year old high school student when he became the youngest player to score 30 or more points in the NBA. The record was previously held by Wilt Chamberlain”.

Kobe Bryant is also the youngest player to score 40 or more points in a single game. He did that when he was just 18 years old and again when he was just 20 years old.

Where is Jordan today?

Michael Jordan can be found coaching basketball for the Charlotte Bobcats, but his legacy on the court will never be forgotten.
